Person found dead in northeast Charlotte
One person has died after being shot Thursday morning in northeast Charlotte.
According to a statement from Charlotte-Mecklenberg Police Department, shortly after 6:00 a.m., officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call in the 1600 block of Deergreen Lane.
When officers arrived, they located one victim with an apparent gunshot wound inside of an apartment. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene by Medic.
As of Thursday morning, the police had announced no arrest.
