Here’s a schedule of events for the Five Points Plaza grand opening

After years of planning and construction, Five Points Plaza officially opens on Saturday with a day of family friendly events.
The plaza is divided into two parts – Trade Street Plaza and State Street Plaza. Activities are planned for both locations.
Despite a threat of rain, officials tell QCity Metro events will go on as planned.

10-11am: Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
11am-12pm: Drums 4 Life Drum Circle
11am-1pm: Charlotte-Mecklenburg Library Mobile Library
12-1pm: QC GINGA Project
1-2pm: Jumping Dreams Double Dutch Clinic
4-7pm: Old School Skate Party with Rollin CLT & DJ Tab D’Biassi
State Street Plaza
11am-12pm: Yoga with Cayla
12-1pm: FD Fit Camp with Jocelyn
1-2pm: Soca Fit Class with Keisha
2-3pm: ArtsWalk with Anne Lowe & Lo’Vonia Parks
4-7pm: Community Pop-Up Shop & Chew (Food Trucks)
The grand opening is hosted by the city of Charlotte and the Knight Foundation.
